Informační portál FAO, který byl spuštěn 22.5.2009.
Na základě iniciativy “Capacity Building to Implement Good Animal Welfare Practices” (viz příloha) byl spuštěn dne 22.5.2009 portál FAO: Farm Animal Welfare, na kterém budou uveřejňovány aktuální informace určené jednotlivcům i organizacím.
Uvedený portál byl vytvořen v těsné spolupráci s mezinárodními partnery působícími v oblasti welfare zvířat, a to:
– the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE),
– the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD),
– Compassion In World Farming (CIWF),
– the Latin American Poultry Association,
– Humane Society International (HSI),
– the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW),
– the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA),
– the Brooke,
– the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA),
– the International Dairy Federation (IDF),
– the International Federation of Agriculture Producers (IFAP),
– the World Veterinary Association.
– the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD),

K vytvoření portálu FAO rovněž významně přispěla Evropská komise.

Ve dnech 30.9.–3.10.2008 se uskutečnilo zasedání expertů FAO k implementaci správné praxe v oblasti welfare zvířat. V příloze je zpráva z tohoto zasedání.
