A Senior Science Coordinator is needed to work in the fields of innovative food/feed products (e.g. cell-based foods) /emerging technologies, and to provide guidance in approaches that the Agency should follow in its future risk assessment work within these areas.
The Senior Science Coordinator will work in the Chief Scientist Office, which provides strategic leadership and expertise to achieve EFSA’s scientific strategic goals. This person will also work closely with some of EFSA scientific units in the different regulatory tasks these units perform.

The jobholder will work in the Brussels-based Shared Support Office (SSO) of the EU Agencies Network (EUAN), to which EFSA is one of the most active members.  The mission of the Office is to facilitate inter-Agency communication and cooperation on a variety of topics and to serve as a single contact point and key interlocutor of EU institutions and bodies in areas of common interest to Agencies. 
The successful candidate will design and implement a comprehensive communication and stakeholder engagement plan under the supervision of the Head of the SSO. The job holder will build effective relationship and collaboration with Agencies‘ Heads of Communication and will support the Network in its ambition to be perceived as a valued institutional partner.
